Licensees:
As everyone knows by now – the website has NOT been available for online renewals. Prior to contacting the office – most questions can be answered by reviewing all notices through the “NOTICES” page on the website.
From The Board:
Can I still practice with an expired license?
Yes. As long as your renewal packet met all renewal requirements as stated in Law/Rule and was received in the office or postmarked by March 31st. As per Louisiana Revise Statute R.S 49:997.3 “When a licensee has made timely and sufficient application for the renewal” and “the existing license shall not expire until the application has been finally determined by the agency (Board)”. This is a State Law and applicable to all regulatory agencies in the State. Credentialing agencies are notified of this law when they reach out to the office.
Has my renewal packet been received?
Please keep in mind that over 4000 paper renewal packets have been sent to the office and staff is working diligently to log each renewal as they come in by date. Please be patience if you do not receive a response for several days.
For all other inquiries and assistance:
The staff will work to return emails and phone calls within 24 business hours but please allow 48 hours for a response. See the website for office closures due to holidays, hearings and Board Meetings.
