Licensees:
All renewal packets received/postmarked by March 31^st, 2026 have been processed and all licenses were mailed at the same time via USPS on May 8^th, 2026. Renewal packets received/postmarked after the March 31st deadline are in line to be processed. Professional and Establishment Licenses were mailed separately. Prior to contacting the office for verification please allow 10 business days for USPS deliveries. OR visit the Public Search page to verify your license was renewed.

Can I still practice with an expired license?

Yes. As per Louisiana Revise Statute R.S 49:997.3 “When a licensee has made timely and sufficient application for the renewal” and “the existing license shall not expire until the application has been finally determined by the agency (Board)”. This is a State Law and applicable to all regulatory agencies in the State.  Credentialing agencies are notified of this law when they reach out to the office.
