**CREDENTIALING AND OTHER AGENCIES**
Due to the data breach and the removal of the previous website to protect the information of all licensees – all license renewals will be significantly delayed as all renewal packets are being processed manually
Can therapists legally practice with their expired license? YES – Please see Louisiana Revise Statute below. Based on R.S 49:997.3 (B) licensees can practice with their expired license – “the existing license shall not expire until the application has been finally determined by the agency”. Meaning, all licensees can practice until all renewals are complete.
(State Law) La. R.S. 49:977.3(B) — B. When a licensee has made timely and sufficient application for the renewal of a license or a new license with reference to any activity of a continuing nature, the existing license shall not expire until the application has been finally determined by the agency, and, in case the application is denied or the terms of the new license limited, until the last day for seeking review of the agency order or a later date fixed by order of the reviewing court.
